I Accidentally Found a Missing Person

While filming on the streets of Cape Town, a homeless girl walked into my shot. I kept filming and moved on. After posting the video, a man reached out to tell me that the girl in the footage was his daughter, and that she had been missing for four months. In this video, I meet with her family and we drive through Cape Town together, searching for her. Along the way, they share her story, her struggle with life on the streets and addiction, and what it has been like trying to find her. We spoke to strangers, approached security officers, and followed leads across the city. This video documents that search, and the story of the family behind it.
