On the second day, we did the Janelão trail, a postcard of the Cavernas do Peruaçu National Park. A spectacular cave, with breathtaking cinematic scenery that makes us rethink our idea of ​​grandeur and special places. In its main gallery, the height and width reach 100m – even an airplane could fit down there. There is vegetation and even the Peruaçu River cutting through the trail inside the cave. There is also the holder of the title of the largest stalactite in the world, the Ballerina's Leg, at 28m – to give you an idea, Christ the Redeemer (RJ) is 38m. Route: 4,800m (round trip). Nearest airport The nearest airport is in Montes Claros. From Montes Claros there are still almost 200 km to Januária. But don't worry, every kilometer traveled is rewarded when you arrive at Cavernas do Peruaçu.
