Have you allowed the world, your past, other people’s opinions, pain, rejection, social media, or comparison to define who you are? But the truth of God’s Word is clear: your identity is found in Christ alone. You are not what the culture says you are. You are not what your past says you are. You are not what your critics say you are. You are who God says you are. In this sermon, we talk about the ways the enemy tries to steal our identity: • Through other people’s opinion • Through pain and rejection • Through social media and comparison • Through shame, guilt, and false labels We are also reminded of the four foundations of our identity in Christ: 1. I am chosen, loved, and accepted 2. My value is priceless 3. I have a divine purpose 4. I am completely forgiven When you know who you are in Christ, comparison loses its power, fear loses its grip, people-pleasing loses its control, and insecurity begins to lose its voice. Your identity comes from God, not your history. Your value was settled forever at the cross. You are chosen, loved, accepted, valuable, forgiven, and you belong to God.
