Visit to the East Avenue Medical Center 8/19/2025

Diliman, Quezon City August 19, 2025 As a testament to the government’s commitment to providing accessible and quality healthcare for all Filipinos nationwide, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. observes the implementation of the Zero Balance Billing (ZBB) Program during his visit to the DOH East Avenue Medical Center (EAMC) in Diliman, Quezon City on August 19, 2025. The ZBB Program covers all inpatient hospital bills to reduce the financial burden on Filipinos, including medicines and medical services such as chemotherapy, dialysis, implants, and laboratory and diagnostic procedures. This is fully covered by the budget of the Department of Health (DOH) with support from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth). During his visit, President Marcos Jr. and Department of Health (DOH) Secretary Teodoro Herbosa inspect the Orthopedic Ward and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) to check on patients who are ready for discharge and will not incur any charges under the ZBB Program.
