GDMBR - Part 2 - Eureka to Helena

After a rest day in Eureka I head for my first big day in the mountains. A long day to Bigfork is followed by two days alone in the woods preoccupied with thoughts of bears. Ticking off legendary Divide landmarks the Slide Zone, Ovando and the Llama Ranch I arrive in Helena and head for a bike shop. In the summer of 2025 I rode the Great Divide Mountain Bike Route from Banff in Canada to Antelope Wells on the US border with Mexico.
