Kenkojuku 1963 - 1968
This is 16mm film footage taken by John Egan. The first segment is of Sensei Okano holding a training session at Sensei John Slocum's Samurai Dojo in Flushing, N.Y. circa 1966 to about 1967. The second segment is of Sensei Akuzawa, one of Sensei Okano's main students, teaching in Jackson, Miss. circa 1963. It is interesting to note the difference between the two karateka in their execution of technique and movement.
