We Found the Surprise Memphis Artwork! The Dogs LOVED it too!

It started out as a beautiful morning, a little bit warmer than yesterday, so we decided to load up the dogs, Kira and Eleanor, and go for a fun road trip adventure. Someone in our amazing Pawdience Facebook group posted a photo of a breathtaking piece of chalk artwork dedicated to our sweet Memphis, who passed away on June 6th. We just had to drive out to Manning Hill to see if it was still there, and oh my goodness, it completely brought tears to our eyes. It is absolutely beautiful, and it means the world to us that you all loved her just as much as we did. After spending some time taking photos and remembering Memphis at Manning Hill, we decided to keep the wheels turning and explore the back roads. We made our way over to the Fletcher Floodwaters near Paradise Lodge, checked out the incredibly full dam, and even braved walking across the bridge! Since most of the restaurants were closed, we ended up in the town of Lincoln for a classic road trip lunch of Lunchables, Fritos, and bean dip, followed by a little drive around the Alcona County Fairgrounds to see the motocross and demolition derby tracks. We finished our big day out by heading home to check the PO Box mail and cool off from the 85-degree heat. The girls got some wonderful gifts, and then it was time for Eleanor to make a huge splash! We opened up the pool, and Eleanor didn't hesitate to jump right in for a swim, while Kira preferred to stay dry on the concrete side. To wrap up the evening, we signed the very last of the memorial posters for our Etsy shop, and we even got to see Memphis's solar butterfly light up the yard. Life is short, make memories with your dogs!
