SHALLOW WATER - Swimbaits BIG STRIPERS (Weighting – Neutral Buoyancy – Follow the Bait)

I’m on the tank showing how to retrieve swimbait to look like a real fish! Big stripers only want to eat once and not waste energy chasing food. I cover key tricks like tuning and making adjustments on swimbaits to get those big stripers to smash your lure. Fishing for these big stripers, I'm mostly in flooded islands in one to three feet of water. One of their main food source is squaw fish, which live in these shallow flats. Getting a 7 to 10" swimbait to sink very slow takes some modifying with neutral buoyancy and weighting the lures. Check out the two videos on my seminar and tank demo at the Sacramento International Sportsmen’s Exposition where I talk about how I target big stripers on swimbaits. When fishing for these big stripers on a good day I might only get a few hits but it is so worth it!
