A Nostalgic Return to Paradise Lake - Crucians Tench & Frogs

In this video, I return to the stunning Guinea Lake at Newdigate Farms in Surrey. Joining me is my good friend Andy from ‪@BlackBottomFloats‬ for a truly nostalgic day on the bank. Guinea Lake is an absolute paradise. It is completely surrounded by lush trees, margin reeds, and lily pads. The wildlife and insect life here are incredible, making it easily one of the most beautiful lakes I have ever fished. I started my session using method feeders before switching over to float tactics as the day progressed. Andy brought along some incredible, nostalgic vintage tackle, including a classic Garcia Mitchell reel and a beautiful old fishing rod. He even used a landing net handle that he hand-renovated himself from an old split-cane rod! Despite a very hot summer day with bright blue skies and a gusty breeze, the fish kept us busy. We ended up catching some gorgeous crucian carp, tench, and skimmers, all while being visited by local frogs and stunning insect life.
