Super Easy Poncho Tutorial | The Sewing Room Channel In this tutorial I'll show you how to make a super easy poncho. **HOW TO MEASURE FOR THE FABRIC AMOUNT NEEDED** The fabric width from selvage edge to selvage edge is 46" when it is unfolded. When the fabric is folded with selvage edges together the width is 23" from the fold to the selvage edges. For the amount of fabric need for your body measure from your wrist, up the arm, across the shoulders, down the other arm to the wrist. That is the amount of fabric to purchase.
