Love’s Sorrow (Liebesleid) - Rachmaninoff's Arr | Your Lie in April

I finally found my password :D Jokes aside, I have been dealing with a lot of other things and life in general, so I needed to take a good break from the channel. I hope to return to a somewhat consistent schedule now that I’ve been away. Though I’ve not been uploading, I have still kept up practice with the piano, and somehow, someway, managed to conquer this mountain along the way. Rachmaninoff’s Liebesleid arr is undoubtedly my hardest challenge yet. I never in a million years thought I could even approach this masterpiece, and yet here we are. As you may have guessed, I first heard of this track from Your Lie in April (insert obligatory joke about being a YLIA fan) and I was like, “How did I not hear of this sooner when I needed it?” I absolutely love how Rachmaninoff composed some of these passages and although I tried my best, some parts he wrote are above my pay grade. The coda and middle cadenza were some of the most difficult parts for me to learn, and I spent probably three times longer on them than on other parts of the piece. See you soon, Noteski
