Two boys are born in the same city — but not in the same Rome. Rufus grows up at the top of a crumbling insula in the Subura, learning the rules of hunger, speed, street work, and survival. Lucius grows up behind marble walls, trained to inherit wealth, influence, and a place near the top of Roman society. Their paths cross through childhood, work, the gladiator arena, politics, betrayal, and the hidden machinery that keeps Rome running. This animated historical comedy follows two complete lives to explore what it really meant to be rich or poor in Ancient Rome — how class shaped your education, food, career, safety, legal rights, friendships, and chances of survival.
