Once again, we have the US claiming that Iran agreed to something only to find Iran laterndenying that they ever said it. In fact, it is not merely one claim, but two! Headline 1 Trump says Iran will accept inspections; Tehran denies nuclear talks took place (Truth Social) “Everybody is fully aware that Iran will agree to have Major Weapons Inspections in order to ensure ‘Nuclear Honesty’ long into the future,” US President Donald Trump said in a Truth Social post, after Tehran denied Vice President JD Vance’s claim that it had agreed to allow IAEA inspectors back into the country. Here is the story of Iran’s denial... Headline 2 IRGC outlet denies Vance's claim on IAEA inspectors’ return to Iran .In other words, they are calling J.D. Vance a liar... Headline 3 Iran says IAEA engagement to continue under 'current procedures' Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei said Tehran’s engagement with the International Atomic Energy Agency will continue “in accordance with current procedures” and in line with parliamentary legislation and decisions by the Supreme National Security Council. This is the same denial that Iran made earlier when Steve Witkoff claimed that Iran had previously made the same commitment only to have it later denied by Iran. Headline 4 Iran denies nuclear talks, new commitments in Switzerland negotiations Here we have another Iranian outlet denies the U.S. Headline 5 IRGC-linked media warns IAEA access could end Iran’s ‘nuclear ambiguity’ The IRGC-affiliated Tasnim news agency warned against a possible return of IAEA inspectors to Iran, saying one of Tehran’s key assets against Washington is its policy of “nuclear ambiguity” and uncertainty over the location of its enriched nuclear material. Basically, what Iran is saying is that since the US is the enemy, they will not show the IAEA where the 60% enriched uranium is located Headline 6 US Treasury says Iran agrees to Hormuz transit, IAEA access “In line with the ongoing productive talks in Switzerland, Iran has committed to free and open transit in the Strait of Hormuz and to permit International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors into their country,” he added. As part of the framework, the Treasury Department has issued a temporary 60-day general license authorizing the production, delivery and sale of Iranian oil, Bessent said. Note that one of the two reasons as to why the US gave Iran the 60-day license of authorizing oil production, delivery and sale was because of their agreement to the inspections... Will the fact that Iran is now denying that they agreed to the inspections annul the offer? Now we have another denial by Iran of a J.D. Vance claim... Headline 7 Tehran denies its frozen funds earmarked for grain purchases - Tasnim The US vice-president's claim that Iran’s frozen funds would be used to buy grain are false and have not been mentioned in any agreement... Tasnim news agency... That makes two major claims by the J.D. Vance today about what has been agreed to by Iran, that are now refuted by Iran. Headline 8 Vance says release of Iranian funds hinges on its actions US Vice President JD Vance told reporters on Monday the release of Iranian funds would depend on continued progress in talks, including Tehran’s cooperation with nuclear inspectors and mechanisms to ensure the money is spent as agreed. So, it looks like there may be a halt to the release of the funds... Finally, we have this... Headline 9 Iran defense chief says military posture maintained during 60-day talks period Iran’s acting defense minister Majid Ebn al-Reza said the Islamic Republic is capable of negotiating and confronting its adversaries at the same time, warning that Tehran could respond on the battlefield to any US “breach of commitments” during talks. Ebn al-Reza said Iran would maintain and strengthen its military posture “in all areas” throughout the negotiations and the 60-day period set under the understanding. He said Iran’s armed forces are at their “highest level of readiness” and warned that any “new mischief or miscalculation” would be met with a harsher response than before, one that he said would leave adversaries “more defeated, disappointed and regretful.” If Iran keeps lying like this, then they had better remain on the highest level of military preparedness because the United States and Donald Trump do not have infinite patience... It seems that somebody needs to record, or film, exactly what Iran promises in real time! The fact that we are only at day five and Iran has already backpedaled on a number of issues doesn’t give much encouragement of this MOU bringing about the desired results...
