Train Cab Ride NL / Roosendaal - Leiden - Amsterdam / VIRM Intercity / June 2019

Today we get to take a ride with the intercity service from Roosendaal to Amsterdam. A 1 hour and 50 minute drive. So make sure to get enough food and drinks and get settled on your couch for this ride. We start our journey at 14.01h in Roosendaal. It will be a ride like passengers mostly like it. No delays and everything according to schedule. As soon as we have left the station we take the train to the maximum local speed because there's a temporary speed restriction ahead of us. We will loose time on that piece of track and that is why we must maintain maximum speed until then. A little further on the route you'll see we need to hit the brakes for the temporary speed restriction. This is because after construction works the tracks weren't stable enough to run over it with normal speed. Now it's waiting until the next planned construction works where the problem will be fixed. Directly after the speed restriction we get the train to the maximum local speed again and maintain this speed until our first stop: Dordrecht. Because we maintained speed we arrive perfectly on time at this station. There's a short time with privacy music at Dordrecht, but don't worry. The sound will be back just before we depart again. From this moment on we will pass by the Kijfhoek (freight train shunting area). And at Rotterdam Lombardijen you can see the HSL coming back to the normal tracks too. Looking familiar from other video's? :) We continue our journey via Rotterdam Blaak, Rotterdam CS, Schiedam Centrum, Delft, Den Haag HS, Den Haag Laan van NOI, Leiden, Heemstede-Aerdenhout, Haarlem, Amsterdam Sloterdijk to our final stop: Amsterdam CS. At Den Haag HS you see we dapart over 30 seconds later as planned. Because we keep the train on it's maximum speed until the next stop we're perfectly on time at arrival time again.
