Norway - Lærdalsøyri
Old Lærdalsøyri used to be an important trading port between east and west in Norway. The old town centre is a national monument site with 161 wooden houses. They remain almost intact as in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is a unique and very picturesque place in Western Norway, almost as deep as you get in the Sognefjord.
