DeForest Kelley Westerns (Dr. McCoy)
Of all the Star Trek Cast Kelley has the most western movies and TV under his belt, made during the 1950s and 60s. Shatner made a couple. Unfortunately not doing well, in fact some may argue they were stinkers. The Outrage 1964 and White Comanche 1968. Kelley was spotted by a Paramount talent scout while working on a United States Navy training film. He soon became a reliable character actor (often in Westerns in which he often played the villain), but hit the big time when he was offered the role of the somewhat irascible Dr. Leonard "Bones" McCoy on the television series Star Trek (1966).
