Dan Luepkes

I am a 5th Generation Farmer born in Oregon, IL. I was raised on a 200 acre Dairy Farm. 7 years old I was milking beside my dad fulltime. Up at 5am milking and after school was pitching manure out of the barns, carrying feed & water to the animals in buckets, grinding feed from ear corn shoveled out of crib-Seems like all we did was work and do things the hard way! As I got older I tried to figure out ways to make work easier or more productive. Even as a child I was thinking: how to make feeding go faster, how to increase milk production & butterfat, what micronutrients to feed? I read & researched-I wanted to learn better ways and I have carried that with me throughout my career. My life has been full of struggles, no fairy tale for sure but the challenges I have faced have made me who I am and I am beyond thankful for the people that have helped me along the way. I am continuously pushing myself to achieve more and I will share my stories and experiences with you along the way.
