Having been inspired by watching her older sister perform on stage, Shinobu, decided to also pursue a singing career. Unsurprisingly, Shinobu's music style went for a more generic and bland "idol" look and sound thus causing her career to only last from 1988 to 1991. Fortunately for her, Shinobu had an acting career to fall back on as she is better known as an actress.
