Off the coast of Virginia, at 90 metres, lay a shipwreck nobody had ever touched. Crockery scattered across the deck. Portholes. A helm. Untouched since 1943. Richie Kohler — co-author of Shadow Divers and one of the world's most respected wreck divers — joined the dive on a wreck known as the Olinda. A freighter sunk as part of the famous Billy Mitchell bombing trials, lost for decades and only recently relocated using side-scan sonar.What he found was extraordinary. A virgin shipwreck — completely intact, completely undived. And sitting right there on the deck: the ship's bell.
