Amid neglect and urban decay, several blocks of Via Cavallitti and adjacent streets, in the heart of Caltagirone's historic center, are in need of interventions aimed at making them safe and restoring their sanitary and environmental conditions. The area was rehabilitated between 2010 and 2012 with funding from the Regional Department of Civil Protection for over €1 million.
