A Season with Bluebirds & Neighbors | A Wildlife Conservation Field Journal

In this video I wanted to do something different. To document a season’s worth of field observations during a volunteer project to have an opportunity to communicate the conservation efforts of Bluebird nest monitoring. I included core concepts I learned during my Environmental Ethics course, including some supporting slides from my final project that was, of course, about Bluebirds! The project was filmed during the 2025 Season spanning from April-August. By blending cinematic footage with real-life unfiltered moments in the field, I aimed to show the reality behind the Bluebird (and other fellow secondary cavity nesters) story. There were many days filled with joy, some others with disappointment from a tough finding. Overall, it was a life changing experience to spend A Season with the Bluebirds.
