The scent of lavender and its many shades of color, ranging from blue to pale pink, dominates, even though it is just one of the 480 species of medicinal plants housed in the Casola Valsenio Herb Garden (RA), founded in 1938 by Professor Augusto Rinaldi Ceroni, a pioneer of Italian herbalism, after whom it bears its name. The Herb Garden, the flagship of the Romagna Parks and Biodiversity Management Agency, is part of the Ravenna Province Museum Network. It is open to visitors year-round, and hosts events.
