In August 2013, schoolboy Alex Brewer, age 17, became the first adolescent in Australia to be implanted with the Baha® Attract System, the new, fully functional magnetically attached hearing implant from Cochlear. Professor Marcus Atlas performed the surgery with the aim of restoring his hearing. The Cochlear Baha Attract System is a highly effective bone conduction hearing system designed to leave the skin intact.
