Low Pressure Warning: Heavy Rainfall and Flood Alert Issued for Odisha Ahead of Rath Yatra The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a severe weather alert as a cyclonic circulation is expected to form over the North-West Bay of Bengal around July 11–12, intensifying into a low-pressure area by July 14. This system will trigger widespread heavy rainfall across Odisha, peaking during the grand Rath Yatra around July 16. Northern and Western Odisha will bear the brunt of the downpour.
