Wildlife Of Hungary | The Great Plains Of Hungary | Rare Birds and Reptiles

Welcome to the wild and diverse Great Plains of Hungary. A vast open landscape in central Europe that is home to variety of wildlife. This short film covers the story of some of the rarely seen wildlife, such as the elusive and stunning Grass Snake and European Green Lizard. We also cover the stories of the beautiful birds found on the Great Hungarian Plains. From resident birds like Goldfinches and Hawfinches, to the awesome migratory birds like European Rollers and Bee-eaters who are preparing to migrate to Africa. We filmed most of the wildlife in and around Kiskunsagi National Park. The filming was done over 2 days in late August 2024. Our base was the wonderful Kondor Eco Lodge and we would like to give special thanks to Gabor and Andrea for their hospitality, guiding us and helping us find the amazing wildlife on the Great Hungarian Plains.
