UTAC CERAM et FEV GROUP lancent un centre d’essais automobiles au Maroc
Since the launch of the Industrial Acceleration Plan (PAI) in April 2014, Morocco has adopted a strong strategy for developing its industry in various key sectors, particularly the automotive sector. The Moroccan government, supported by manufacturers and suppliers operating in the country, sought to develop an automotive testing center, an activity representing a major step in building its automotive industry. Therefore, UTAC CERAM and FEV Group chose to partner to create this center in Oued Zem, 150 kilometers from Casablanca. The site is scheduled to open in 2021. Upon opening, this testing center will offer a comprehensive range of services across several activities: Complete endurance and reliability testing on test benches, tracks, and roads Vehicle dynamics development and testing Coast-down testing (4 km track, unique in Europe and Africa) Test benches for powertrain development (electric, hybrid, or conventional vehicles) 4x4 rolling road dynamometers (-20°C) for calibration and homologation Acoustic development and testing Pedestrian impact development and testing RDE (Real Driving Emissions) testing Testing of automated and connected vehicle fleets Driver training and event services This center will undoubtedly have a ripple effect on the development of engineering and R&D in Africa, and particularly in Morocco. Furthermore, Morocco's geographical proximity to Europe is a key advantage for international players. UTAC CERAM and FEV Group will recruit nearly 100 employees within the next five years, with a dedicated training program. Laurent Benoit, President of UTAC CERAM, stated: “The construction of this new center is part of the Group's development and growth strategy, designed to anticipate customer needs. Morocco was chosen because of its numerous advantages and the Kingdom's proactive policy to establish itself as a global automotive hub. First, favorable weather conditions allow for optimal testing. Second, thanks to favorable local labor costs, UTAC CERAM will be able to offer greater competitiveness in certain types of services and thus expand its offerings.” “ Nadim Andraos, President, France, Spain and North Africa of FEV Group, explains: “The FEV Group has been established in Morocco for several years now, and it seemed important to us to partner with a recognized company like UTAC CERAM to develop this new center. This country offers significant reach with Europe and Spain in particular, which allows us to achieve real synergies.” » #Morocco #Morocco #lodjtv #show #program #health #politics #economy Subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://bit.ly/2UDicWw LIVE - Watch L'ODJ TV here: https://bit.ly/3mrgSBE Our streaming web radio: https://www.lodj.ma/webradio Our 24/7 live TV website: https://www.lodj.ma/tv Join us on Facebook: / lodjmaroc Follow us on Twitter: / lodjma L'ODJ Media: https://www.lodj.ma/ Arrissala Maroc Press Group: https://www.arrissala.ma
