These are the most critical rules from the official notice. Follow them exactly to avoid rejection. 1. Eligibility & Qualification You must have *proficiency in teaching Hindi and English*. SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates of Himachal Pradesh get up to 5% relaxation in minimum educational qualifications. You must have *passed Matric (10th) and 10+2 (12th) from a school/institution inside Himachal Pradesh*. *Exception*: This rule does *not apply to Bonafide Himachali candidates*. 2. Selection Process Only Computer Based Test (CBT) – *120 marks, 90 minutes (1.5 hours)*. *120 objective (MCQ) questions, 1 mark each*. *Syllabus (Matric standard)*: General Knowledge (including HP GK + Current Affairs) *Everyday Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, General English & General Hindi*. *Detailed syllabus may be uploaded later on the official website*. 3. How to Fill Online Application (ORA) – Must Follow *Read all instructions before starting*. Enter *Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of Birth exactly as in your Matric certificate*. *Upload*: Latest passport-size photo (not older than 1 month) – JPG/JPEG/PNG, *max 2 MB*. Signature – JPG/JPEG/PNG, *max 1 MB*. Incomplete forms (missing qualification, category, fee, photo, signature) *will be rejected immediately*. *Submit only one application per post*. *Multiple forms = rejection*. *No applications by post/fax allowed*. You must *meet all eligibility (age, category, qualification) on the last date of application*. 4. Category & Certificate Rules (Very Important) *Reservation only for bonafide Himachal Pradesh residents*. Other states’ reserved category candidates = *treated as General (UR)*. SC/ST/OBC certificates must be on parental basis – otherwise *rejected*. *OBC (HP) certificate*: *Valid for 1 year*. Must be *valid on application closing date and document verification date*. *IRDP/BPL certificate*: *Valid for 6 months only*. Same validity rule. *EWS certificate*: *Valid for 1 year*. Same validity rule. If your certificate is invalid at document verification*, you will be *treated as General (after paying extra fee if needed) and must meet *General cut-off*. *Category claimed at application cannot be changed later*. Unreserved candidates applying under EWS must submit *valid BPL + non-SC/ST/OBC certificate*. 5. PwD Candidates (Scribe & Extra Time) Eligible PwD candidates can get *scribe/reader and compensatory time (20 minutes per hour of exam)*. Apply on prescribed proforma (available on website *15 days before exam*). *Permission must be produced at exam centre*. *No last-minute requests*. Scribe will be under *CCTV surveillance*. Any violation = *immediate disqualification*. 6. Fees (Same for All Categories) Examination fee: ₹100 Processing fee: ₹700 Total: ₹800 Pay only through online gateway (Credit/Debit Card/Net Banking). *Fee once paid = non-refundable*. *Correction window (4 days after closing date): ₹1000 extra*. 7. Admit Card & Exam Day Download Admit Card only from https://hprca.hp.gov.in (using Application ID, Name & DOB). *OTP will come on registered mobile/email*. *No Admit Card sent by post*. Practice link for CBT pattern will be provided on the website. 8. Document Verification Bring printed ORA + original certificates + self-attested photocopies at documentation. *All certificates will be checked*. *Provisional admission/rejection list uploaded on website*. You get *7 days to file representation if rejected*. *No separate letter by post*. 9.
