SECOND PRIZE (EX AEQUO) — A-DELTA TRIO This is the re-upload of the prize-winning performance by A-Delta Trio at the 14th Antón García Abril International Chamber Music Competition, held on June 13, 2026, at the Teatro Dengra in Baza (Granada, Spain). The Swiss saxophone trio was awarded the Second Prize (Ex Aequo) of the competition. The Antón García Abril International Chamber Music Competition pays tribute to the Spanish composer Antón García Abril (1933–2021), one of the most significant voices in contemporary Spanish music, whose extensive body of work ranges from symphonic and chamber music to film and television soundtracks. Founded in 2012 by Paqui García Vázquez in Baza (Granada), the competition was born with the direct support of the maestro, who served as jury president through its eighth edition. Since then, more than 1,000 musicians from Europe, Asia and the Americas have participated, cementing its standing as a truly international event. A-Delta Trio is a saxophone trio based in Switzerland, distinguished by its adventurous programming that brings together commissioned works, original compositions and daring transcriptions for three saxophones.
