Having driven almost every modern Golf GTi, I came to the conclusion that VW's are lovely cars, but are so meticulously designed and screwed together that they are a bit characterless. I mean they are German after all... But as I've ventured away from the stock standard 2.0L turbo and into the V5, W8 and this, the VR6, I've learned that in fact VW does know how to make an utterly stupendous car!
