Super Punch-Out!! - Speedrun performed at AGDQ 2016

This run was done on January 7th 2016, at about 2PM in the afternoon. For this GDQ, I submitted 2 runs, which were this run right here for Super Punch Out, and my 2nd ever blindfolded run, which was for Mike Tyson's Punch Out, but this time it was a race against sinister1. With that being considered, I wasn't too nervous for this run at all, which ends up in me making a handful of uncharacteristic mistakes here and there. I had also asked GDQ staff on if there was any possibility in doing the Super Punch Out run before the blindfolded Mike Tyson's Punch Out run, since I figured they would inherently choose that order since that's how the games came out chronologically. I requested that mainly because I wanted to get this run out of the way immediately, because I knew that after the MTPO run, my nerves would be completely fried and it would poorly affect this run if it were after. This was also the first time that I had attended a GDQ where the tech setup for runners required headphones, and it definitely shows, with me having to take them off to hear what the tech staff was saying at the start, and with a handful of miscommunications and bits of confusion here and there, lol. I didn't really have strict standards for this run or anything. This was probably the most laid back run of anything I had done at a Games Done Quick event up to this point. The one thing I wanted to try to get was a Nick KO, just because to me, if I could land that, I felt like any other silly mistakes would be more or less forgivable to some extent, because reacting to those counters with 100,000+ people watching you on stream, and a crowd of people behind you, makes for a pretty intense environment for ensuring the KO on the final fight of the game. Anyways, thanks for watching!
