A woman in her 20s who underwent breast augmentation surgery three years ago was recently found dead. Her family claims that immediately after the surgery, the incision site opened up, making daily life difficult, and that the hospital failed to provide proper post-operative care. This is Tip-off K, reporter Kim Bo-dam. [Report] It was three years ago that Ms. A, a woman in her 20s, first visited a plastic surgery clinic. Hearing that there would be almost no scarring, she underwent breast augmentation surgery a week later. However, the next day, the incision site opened up, and the pain began. It was a full abdominal incision, with the inner flesh completely exposed..."] Ms. A received treatment and suture surgery multiple times at the same hospital until last year, but her family claims that the site ultimately healed while remaining open, and that she lost sensation due to the aftereffects. [Bae OO/A's Aunt/Voice altered: "Her whole body was already in a state of inflammatory reaction. She was vomiting and taking medication non-stop... Even the pharmacist administering the antibiotics said, 'If she continues taking them like this, the antibiotics won't work anymore.'"] Ms. A was found dead at her home last April while she was in the midst of a medical malpractice lawsuit against the hospital. Ms. A, who had previously borne the burden of surgery and treatment costs amounting to 20 million won alone, was diagnosed with depression. [Bae OO/A's Aunt/Voice altered: "She called me crying, saying, 'No matter how many surgeries are performed, the wound keeps opening up. The doctor said I'm possessed by a devil. Aunt, a devil has possessed me.'"] The bereaved family is currently pursuing a lawsuit for damages against the hospital.
