This adapter is primarily based on information found on the website https://obddiag.net/usb-power.html WARNING: Just because you simulate a charger capable of supplying 2A, for example, does not mean it can actually supply that current. You must make appropriate adjustments. Similarly, if you insert this adapter after a charger that already has settings, it is very likely to interfere with the adapter. In this case, it may be wise NOT to connect the D+ and D- lines on the power source side. The power levels involved can be significant, and improper use can damage the charger and/or the connected device. I cannot be held responsible for such incidents.
