A bad day with fibromyalgia- What does a flare up feel like?
Hey guys! i was hesitant to upload this video but i think it could be beneficial to do so. It is a hard day where pain level is high, today I've had brain fog and have been really slow, overall very fatigued as well. Its emotional to go through this, knowing you have little to no control on how you will be feeling tomorrow. Nevertheless, I do know I am not alone in all of this and I know that these bad days DO pass and that tomorrow or the day after it will be better. Some of the things I do to better my symptoms on days like these: Drink plenty of water or if im nauseous then I make sure to eat plenty of soup/tea etc... anything to keep myself sufficiently hydrated. Drink my supplements Eat light (by this i mean eating clean and only things I know that will not upset my symptoms further- veggies/fruits/lean meats/) To make the pain level lower I take warm baths (15 minutes) of epsom salt... its important to note that this makes your muscles relax and should not be done for more than 15 min or else it will be very hard to move after because your muscles will be way too relaxed) - if you don't have a tub in your home then take a bucket with warm water and epsom salt and put your feet in it (its not the same but it does help). Doing things at my own pace and being okay with it. (its hard and frustrating I just give in to the pace I can handle on the day I am in and get done as much as I possibly can without overdoing it). Drinking activated charcoal (helps with detox and overall intestinal health). Understanding that this is only one bad day and that it will get better tomorrow. Going to bed early and trying to have a good night sleep (I drink a NATURAL sleeping pill called Super sleep which helps aid with better quality of sleep). If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask and i'll get back to you as soon as I can :) Love, Liddy
