This Wake-Up Light Wouldn’t Wake Up

This Beurer WL50 wake-up light / Bluetooth speaker thing was sent to my PO Box by S M Hoof! It had no power at all and wouldn't charge, so at first glance it looked like the internal battery might be the problem. Let's see if we can work out what's going on and get it working again!
