Worndorf (Neuhausen) (D - BW) Die Glocken der Pfarrkirche St. Mauritius

This video presents the bells d♭2 -f2 -c3 [re♭4 -fa4 -do5] of S. Mauritius parish church in Worndorf near Neuhausen ob Eck. It is a small but no less interesting peal. Three different founders created the almost unique ensemble. ➥ The oldest bell in Worndorf is also one of the oldest bells in the region. The small evangelist bell [3] was made by an unknown bell founder and dates back to around 1300. Due to its appearance and shape, the bell is today assigned to the environment of the Rottweil foundry, which was continued at that time under in succession of "Hans the Gloger". The bell [2] is considerably younger. It comes from Überlingen and was cast by master Karl Blersch in 1841. It is one of the early works from this foundry. The youngest bell [1] was cast in Villingen in 1924. The foundry Grüninger und Söhne produced the "warriors bell", which names all those from Worndorf who died in the First World War. The belfry, which is still preserved today, also dates from this time. It looks almost tiny in the tower hall. The bell [1] lost parts of its crown when it was conscripted during the Second World War. The ringing is dominated by the tower hall, which gives the whole a very reverberant character. At the same time, the impression is unique and very special due to the unclear sequence of tones.
