Remote Island Camping at Lake Lila | Adirondacks Fishing, Survival & Bushcraft

Join my friends Danny, Austin, and I on an epic island camping trip on Lake Lila in the Adirondacks of New York! This lake is unique because in order to access it you have to portage your water vessel (canoe or kayak) from the parking lot down to the lake, which was about 0.3 of a mile. This place is VERY remote with no service and some surreal camping spots on islands scattered throughout the lake. There some towns nearby but for the most part you are totally off the grid. We only saw a few other people the entire time we were here and they were all very friendly. During the Lake Lila camping adventure we did a lot of fishing and caught a bunch of small mouth and even a native brook trout. To sharpen our bushcraft survival skills we attempted to build a cabin shelter and a bow drill to start a fire (sorry the noise is so loud during the video!). We cooked some great food and got to enjoy the call of the loons and the incredible stars at night. This was truly one of the best wilderness camping experiences we’ve had. If you’re planning your own Adirondack camping or fishing trip, make sure to carry in and carry out - leave no trace. Also make sure to be respectful of other campers and of course the wildlife. Also a huge shoutout to my friend Danny for making the thumbnail for the video! He brought his camera on the trip and was able to take some awesome shots. #outdoors #outdoorvlog #camping #campingadventures #fishing #flyfishing #bushcraft #viral #lakelila
