IDDSI 101 for Healthcare Professionals
This IDDSI 101 webinar is presented by the United States IDDSI Reference Group (USIRG), a subgroup of the International Dysphagia Diet Standardisation Initiative (IDDSI) global. The USIRG is providing this resource to facilities and organizations to assist in training: all healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, dietitians, certified dietary managers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, physicians, and more. You will learn the basics of what IDDSI is, why a globally standardized dysphagia diet framework is needed, and how it improves safety for people with dysphagia. It is so important for all healthcare workers across all settings to use the same terminology to describe food texture and drink thickness. You will also find out where to go for more information.
