Posadas is an Argentinian city, capital of the province of Misiones and head of the Capital Department. It is located on the left bank of the Paraná River—which separates it from Paraguay—in the southwest of the province and in the north of the Capital Department. It is the most populated city in Misiones and its administrative, commercial, and cultural center. Its beginnings were forged around the port on the Paraná River, and its growth was slow to materialize because it was one of the last areas of Argentinian territory to be populated. However, it is currently one of the most active and fastest-growing cities in the entire NEA region (Northeast Argentina). Its influence extends to the neighboring city of Garupá, with which it forms Greater Posadas. The San Roque González de Santa Cruz Bridge, spanning the Paraná River, connects it to the neighboring city of Encarnación (in the Republic of Paraguay). The municipality of Posadas is the administrative body responsible for governing the city and surrounding areas. It encompasses the urban area of the city plus a rural zone located to the south and west, reaching the border with the province of Corrientes. Some rural settlements (such as Colonia Laosiana) were absorbed by the city during the 2000s. Posadas is also the seat of the Diocese of Posadas, which designated Saint Joseph as the city's patron saint. It's located on National Route 12 and Provincial Route 213. The city is 98 km from Oberá (the province's second-largest city), 310 km from Puerto Iguazú, 380 km from Asunción (the capital of Paraguay), and 1003 km from Buenos Aires (the capital of Argentina, with which it has several daily bus connections). #motovlogger #leoenlacalle #posadasmisiones
