If you haven't played any Shmups, this is a perfect entry into the genre. The game has tight gameplay, a good difficulty curve, and one of the best 16-bit chiptune soundtracks. The music in this game was a big motivator to speedrun this game for me. You can find .PDF files of the manual online to learn the controls. Thanks to @ShmupJunkie.
