A Sydney based client had a vision of a quiet but powerful small harbour cruiser. A gentleman’s launch that takes you back to the essence of boating without fuss. An elegant and timeless design was created from the keel up with electric propulsion in mind by acclaimed naval architect Andrew Dovell. ‘MV Grapes’ was then precision crafted by Gary Swindail and his team at Sydney Harbour Boat Builders in Rozelle from the finest materials. The Bellmarine DriveMaster 50kW electric inboard was supplied by Eco Boats. It's a first of it’s kind and the electrical installation was provided by Phil West from Sheerline Marine, using Elmofo Lithium batteries. The end result is simple & stunning; the Sydney Harbour 27E. With a cruising speed of 6 knots and top speed of 11 knots it’s all you need for a day out on the Harbour; no fumes – all style.
