4K Milan 🇮🇹 : Inside The Skyscrapers

In this new episode of Milan Walks we invite you to visit with us 2 famous skyscrapers of Milan: the Pirelli Tower and the Diamond Tower, and one new park - Parco della Luce, just opened inside the Monte Rosa 91 campus designed by Renzo Piano Building Workshop. All these places were opened to visits as part of the Open House Milano 2024. The Pirelli Tower (Pirellone) was designed by outstanding Italian architect Gio Ponti and engineer Pier Luigi Nervi and opened in 1960. It is one of the most impressive reinforced concrete buildings in the world. The Diamond Tower was designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox and built in 2012, it is the tallest steel building in Italy. Open House is the international format, born in London in 1992, which annually provides a free opening event of hundreds of architecturally important buildings in participating cities. The first edition of the Open House in Milan took place in 2016. Since then, every year there is a possibility to visit many interesting Milanese buildings which are usually non accessible for public.
