Tactical OBLITERATES Hordes With Melta Rifle & Heroic Plasma - True Solo Absolute | Space Marine 2

One of the big weaknesses of the Melta Rifle is it's long reload time. At base it takes 4 seconds to reload, the longest reload duration in the whole game. Melta Rifle has two 10% reload speed perks, but that is not enough to make it reasonable. The best way to get around this is to use Auto Reload perks which tactical has two of. Tactical has his starting perk that auto reloads the holstered weapon after 10s of not using it, but that isn't really viable when there are 10 chaos spawns on top of you and all you have is a heroic plasma pistol. Which brings us to the perk "Emperor's Judgement", which auto reloads the equipped ranged weapon after a finisher(both gunstrike and melee finisher), then increases Primary Weapon damage by 20% for 10s. The damage buff for this perk was added in patch 8, and it does have a small downside -- If you do a finisher while the buff is active it won't auto reload. So keep that in mind, but it is difficult to track since the buff doesn't have any indicator that it is active. Because we picked "Emperor's Judgement", we had to forgo "Emperor's Vengeance", which makes our ammo worse, but Melta Rifle does have a pretty good ammo perk in "Decisive Reload", which gives 1 ammo back per melee finisher. This does slow down the pace since it forces us to use melee finishers to get ammo. We picked the ammo variant to help with the ammo issue. The perk "Trick Shot" gives you armor when killing 5 or more enemies with one shot with a 30s cooldown. You can reset this cooldown by switching between your primary and secondary. This makes sure you always have access to armor as long as there are swarms of minoris. For our secondary we pick the Heroic Plasma Pistol with Plasma Boost perk. Plasma boost only gives the 40% Charged Shot damage buff when the gun is 30% Overheated. You can force this by continuing to hold the charge until the 30% mark, but that would overheat afterwards giving you only one shot even if you use "Charged Cooling" perk. With "Charge Cooling" you can get two charge shots off before overheating. If you immediately shoot the charge shot when it is ready, it will be about 90% overheated after the shot, allowing you charge a 2nd shot. That 2nd shot will get Plasma Boosted, because we are over 30% Overheated. For the melee we picked the Block Heroic Chainsword which is probably the best melee on Tactical at the moment.
