The Olympus/OM-System M.Zuiko Digital ED 75-300mm F4.8-6.7 II, How do I get on with it?
The Olympus/OM-Sytem M.Zuiko Digital ED 75-300mm F4.8-6.7 II has something of a mixed reputation (and a very long and tortuous name too). A few months ago I bought a second-hand 75-300mm. It was cheap. But is it cheerful? In this video I take my new (old) lens to Wydon Reservoir on the outskirts of Hexham to put it through its paces. Do I like it and is it a keeper? You will of course have to watch the video to find out. If you do you'll also see me try to shoot (sorry... photograph) some ducks and wonder whether that really counts as wildlife photography; whether I keel over from the heat (it was a very hot day – 28° centigrade); and if I can remember to turn my camera on in time for a 'decisive moment'.
