Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF), established in 1989 in the maternal ancestral home of Sri Adi Sankara, is a research centre for advanced study in Sanskrit and Indology affiliated to Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan, New Delhi and recognised by Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam. Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda visualised CIF as a bridge between the East and the West, Past and Present, Science and Spirituality and the Pundit and Public.
