Midland 77-805(D)UK CB7/81 UK FM CB radio Portapak - On The Air test
After servicing this late (C1990) version of the 805D Portapak, it was gtime to test it. As Uusal, Mr Chippie drove along our 6-mile 'difficult terrain for radio' test route to see how well it worked. He stopped at the 5-mile point for a low power test. On this set low power was just 190mW & is preset so not internally adjustable to the usual 400mW level. The radio was doing a full 4W output on full power. Receive was the best I've seemn on a 'D' version...and this version is crystal filtered as standard, coming in at 0,33uV for 12dB SINAD. Our continued thanks go out to Thunderpole for kindly supplying the T3000 radio we use in the test vehicle at no cost to us. This is the sole reason for the 'paid promotion' flag on this video.
