Matías Callone @maticallone Blog: https://101lugaresincreibles.com/ Thumbnail photo: Matías Callone Today we're going to explore 5 abandoned towns and villages in the province of Buenos Aires. We'll depart from Coronel Pringles to visit the Pillahuincó train station, the abandoned town of El Pensamiento, the Las Mostazas area, a small, desolate village called El Divisorio, and finally, Lartigau, a town that is still inhabited. As if a war had passed, leaving a massacre and towns that seem to have died, almost nothing remains in these places. Each one, with its own unique characteristics, teaches us that the passage of time can be cruel and that oblivion can condemn many places to disappear. Each of these train stations seems to have been killed by the closure of the branch line and never saw a train pass through again. Despite all this, some of these towns continue to fight for survival. Their last inhabitants refuse to abandon their homes and keep alive a flame that still illuminates the night. Without a doubt, the loss of the train was a massacre, which, coupled with the lack of work and changes in technology, led the population to migrate to the nearest cities, such as Coronel Pringles or Bahía Blanca.
