Meets every Thursday at Pearl studios 9:30pm - 11:00pm on the 12th floor. Typically this level is offered only to R.i.S.E. salsa students on a invitation only basis however any one who wants to join can do so by coming to the studio and trying out. We only accept students who are serious about learning and can dance at a intermediate level or higher. This is far from your typical dance class where the instructor feeds you choreography the entire time. The partnerwork is taught in just 30 minutes. The rest of the time is devoted to working on self directed group projects which often involve collaborating with peers to create choreography pieces or practice drills to improve a specific areas of technique. The philosophy is to engage each dancers creativity, help them learn how to critique themselves and create a environment where they can collaborate with others as well as give and receive constructive feedback from their team mates.
