Eucalyptus leaves in watercolor - botanical watercolor painting

Hello my friends😉👐 In this video, I'll show you how to paint realistic eucalyptus leaves in watercolor. These leaves will have smooth curves of shapes. This is one of my botanical lessons at school. Botanical watercolor involves a combination of wet-on-wet and dry techniques. Therefore, the process of painting these leaves with watercolor is quite long. I painted these leaves for 6 hours in total. Watercolor painting here is achieved by a combination of warm and cold shades in one eucalyptus leaf. The leaves come out tender and elegant. This is why I love botanical watercolor so much. In this realistic green leaves tutorial, I use watercolor techniques such as: 🍃 Negative painting to create realistic leaf details with watercolor 🍃 Glazing technique for natural color transitions 🍃 obtaining a complex green color by mixing a green tone with ultramarine and brown shades I drew this picture on the lesson of the famous artist and teacher Ekaterina Spirtus.
