Weekend News Report - A homeowner fled for their life with their dogs after hearing three explosions before their house caught fire. The fire is believed to have been caused by overheating and a short circuit in the solar cell battery. Two fire trucks were deployed to extinguish the blaze in the Phraek Sa Mai subdistrict, Mueang district, Samut Prakan province. Smoke and flames billowed from the ground-floor parking area, spreading to the garage roof and then into the lower floor of the house, causing almost complete damage. Firefighters took approximately 20 minutes to bring the situation under control. Investigations revealed that only one person was inside the house at the time – the homeowner and their two dogs – who escaped with minor injuries. The homeowner stated that they heard three explosions in quick succession from the parking area, where the solar cell battery was installed, before seeing intense flames. They immediately fled the house. A neighbor across the street reported hearing several explosions from the parking area before seeing flames spread rapidly. They suspect the cause may have been the solar cell battery located on the ground floor of the house. Samut Prakan City Police are investigating the incident. The initial assumption is that the fire may have been caused by the solar cell battery accumulating heat and causing a short circuit.
