DIY city walk in Kalmar - Sweden

Kalmar is a stunning city, located on several islands / peninsulas. It most likely started out as a port around the year 1000 (or earlier), trading with the residents of Öland and other communities, expanding from the 13th century onwards. Unfortunately, in 1647 a huge fire destroyed almost all of the old wooden houses, public buildings and the harbour. The new city was surrounded by a thick wall, but don’t let that stop you! Everyone is very welcome now ;) I’ve made this 4-kilometre-long walk past several tourists sights (including Kalmar Castle) and would love to share it with you!
